Divisible for smaller events

The venue

Designed around how a celebration actually runs.

Velora Event Space is being built for events that do not fit in an ordinary room. The main hall seats up to 1,200 and divides down for smaller functions, so a three-hundred-guest reception is held in a room sized for three hundred rather than in the corner of an empty hall.

The architecture does the work that decoration usually has to. A ceiling of illuminated discs, full-height carved panels and a continuous wave motif run through every space, which means a room looks finished before a single centrepiece arrives — and takes decor well when it does.

Around the hall sit the parts of an event people remember only when they are missing: an entrance with room to receive a crowd, a private suite for the couple and their families, separate meeting rooms, and a licensed bar.

Spaces

Every room, before it exists.

The building is under construction, so what follows is the design itself — the renderings the architects and interior team are building from. Conceptual imagery. Final design and finishes may vary.

The main hall

Space to bring everyone together.

Banquet rounds for a wedding reception. Theatre rows for a conference or a cultural programme. An open floor for an exhibition, a sangeet, or a dance floor that does not have to be carved out of the seating plan.

A movable partition system lets the hall be divided, so the same room works for a mehndi of two hundred and a reception of twelve hundred without either feeling like a compromise.

Events

One room, many occasions.

Velora is built first for Indian weddings and the run of functions around them — which is also what makes it work for everything else that needs scale, staging and catering in the same building.

01

Weddings & Wedding Functions

A wedding is rarely one evening. Velora is planned so the sangeet, the mehndi, the haldi, the ceremony and the reception can each take the room in a different configuration, with a private suite for the couple and their families between functions.

  • Engagement / Roka

02

Celebrations

Milestone birthdays, anniversaries and private parties at a scale most rooms cannot hold — with the option to divide the hall down for a smaller guest list rather than dressing an empty space.

  • Anniversary
  • Birthday
  • Private party

03

Corporate, Conferences & Exhibitions

Full-width staging and screens for conferences and annual general meetings, an open floor for exhibitions and trade shows, and separate meeting rooms for breakout sessions away from the main hall.

  • Conference
  • Exhibition / trade show

04

Cultural & Community

Festival programmes, religious ceremonies and community gatherings that need room for a crowd, a stage, and catering for all of it at once.

Culinary

Indian cuisine, at the scale of a celebration.

Velora Event Space is being developed around Indian cuisine, prepared by an in-house culinary team, with menus designed for the scale and rhythm of a full celebration — where food arrives across an evening rather than in a single sitting.

Cooking for twelve hundred is a different discipline from cooking for eighty. The kitchen is being planned around that from the start, alongside a licensed bar in the main hall.

Menu details will be announced closer to our March 2027 opening. If catering is what decides your venue, say so when you enquire and we will come to you first.

Choose Menu & catering on the enquiry form and we will come to you first when menus are confirmed.

The evening

How a night at Velora is meant to unfold.

  1. 01

    Arrive

A double-height entrance with daylight on three sides, room to receive a crowd without a queue at the door, and a coat desk that is not an afterthought.

  2. 02

    Celebrate

The hall opens up. Staging and screens at full width, a licensed bar in the room, and a floor that can be set for dinner, for ceremony, or for dancing.

  3. 03

    Gather

A private suite for the couple and close family between functions, separate meeting rooms for anyone who needs to step away, and washrooms designed as part of the building rather than tacked onto it.

  4. 04

    Remember

Rooms that photograph well without help — carved panels, a lit ceiling and a wave motif that runs through every space, so the pictures look like somewhere rather than anywhere.

Questions

What we can and cannot tell you yet.

Is Velora open yet?

No. Velora Event Space opens in March 2027. We are not operating, and we have not hosted an event. What we are doing now is taking enquiries and building the opening list, so that the people who want first choice of dates have it.

Are these photographs of the finished venue?

No. Every image on this page is a conceptual architectural rendering produced during design. The building is under construction, so no photography of the finished rooms exists yet. Materials, finishes and detailing may change between these renderings and the room you eventually walk into. We will replace them with photographs as soon as we have them.

How many guests can Velora hold?

Up to 1,200 guests in the main hall. The room is designed to be divided for smaller functions, so a guest list well below that number does not have to sit in a half-empty space.

Can I book a date now?

Not yet — we are not releasing dates until closer to opening. Joining the opening list is how you get told first when we do, before dates go out publicly. If you already have a date in mind, send it with your enquiry and we will come back to you when the calendar opens.

What kind of food will Velora serve?

Velora is being built around Indian cuisine, prepared by an in-house culinary team, with menus designed for the scale and rhythm of a full celebration. The menus themselves are still in development. Details will be announced closer to our March 2027 opening. If catering is the deciding factor for you, say so on the enquiry form and we will contact you specifically when menu details are confirmed.

What does it cost?

We have not set pricing. There are no packages and no per-plate rates yet, and we would rather tell you that than quote a number we will have to revise. Details will be announced closer to our March 2027 opening.

Where is Velora?

The exact address will be announced closer to opening. Until then, the fastest way to get a straight answer to anything — location, availability, whether we can hold your guest count — is to call 416-770-4848.
